  1. What is burnout and why does it happen?
  2. What is renewal?

  4. How does renewal occur?
  5. How can renewal benefit me personally?
  6. How can renewal benefit my organization or church?

Key Concepts Include:

  • The values and ethics of renewal.
  • How health at all levels--physical, emotional, and spiritual--affects performance.
  • Social and technological systems that contribute to burnout.

Quote of the Day

"Not that learning is to be considered evil, or knowledge, which is good in itself and so ordained by God; but a clean conscience and virtuous life ought always to be preferred. Many often err and accomplish little or nothing because they try to become learned rather than to live well."

– Thomas a Kempis in The Imitation of Christ
